unlocking the mystery: the primo vascular system, meridians and the power of eft

Imagine if modern science had just uncovered a hidden biological network that could explain how energy healing, acupuncture, and EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) actually work. What if this discovery revealed an intricate system within the body that not only connects our physical structures but also interacts with our emotions, our energy fields, and even the world around us?
This is exactly what the research into the Primo Vascular System (PVS) suggests. This newly identified system might be the missing link between the energy meridians mapped in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and the scientific understanding of how our bodies process energy and information. The implications for healing, emotional well-being, and personal transformation are groundbreaking.

What Is the Primo Vascular System?

For centuries, practitioners of acupuncture and energy medicine have worked with meridians—channels in the body through which vital energy (Qi) flows. Until recently, these meridians were thought to be untraceable using conventional medical tools. But emerging scientific discoveries indicate that the Primo Vascular System could be the physical counterpart of these meridians, offering a structural explanation for the pathways that energy healers have been using for thousands of years.

Unlike blood vessels or lymphatic channels, the PVS is a fine network of microscopic fluid-filled tubules. Scientists have found that this system appears to transport substances that interact with the nervous system, circulatory system, and immune system. More astonishingly, it may even transmit information using light and electromagnetic frequencies—suggesting that our body’s energy system is deeply intertwined with both biology and physics.

What Does This Mean for EFT and Energy Healing?

EFT, often called "tapping," is based on the idea that emotional distress and trauma get "stuck" in the body's energy system, disrupting well-being. By tapping on key acupressure points (which align with meridians), EFT practitioners help the body release these disruptions, restoring emotional balance and promoting healing.
If the Primo Vascular System is indeed the physical structure underlying the meridians, this discovery lends enormous credibility to EFT and other energy-based therapies. It suggests that tapping may not just be working on a conceptual or psychological level—it could be activating a fundamental biological system that helps regulate emotions, health, and possibly even our interaction with the environment.

The Exciting Possibilities: Are We Bioelectromagnetic Beings?

Some researchers speculate that the PVS is not just a structural network but also an electromagnetic communication system within the body. If this is true, it could mean that EFT, acupuncture, Reiki, and other modalities work because they influence the body's electrical and energetic balance in ways we are only beginning to understand.

Recent research by energy psychology expert Dr. David Feinstein suggests that tapping on acupoints generates electromagnetic signals, which are then transmitted to specific brain regions associated with emotional processing. These signals appear to influence neurological activity, reduce stress-related biomarkers like cortisol, and even regulate gene expression. Could it be that the PVS serves as a conduit for this bioelectromagnetic communication?

Even more intriguing is the idea that this system might be a bridge between our inner world and the external environment. Some studies suggest that electromagnetic fields—generated by the Earth, the sun, and even other people—may interact with our bodies through the Primo Vascular System. Could this be the reason why energy healers can sense disturbances in a person's energy field? Could this explain why our emotions shift when we are in nature or in the presence of certain people?

What This Means for You

If you've ever used EFT and felt an immediate emotional shift, or if you've experienced acupuncture or Reiki and sensed energy moving through your body, you may have been feeling the effects of the Primo Vascular System at work. The discovery of this system suggests that energy healing is not just an abstract concept—it is rooted in real biological structures that are only now being recognized by science.

By integrating Feinstein’s findings with the PVS research, we gain an even deeper understanding of how tapping influences not just our psychology but our physiology as well. EFT may be working at the level of bioelectromagnetic regulation, influencing neural pathways and possibly even facilitating memory reconsolidation—helping to release deep-seated emotional patterns.

This is an exciting time. We are standing on the edge of a major paradigm shift in how we understand healing, emotions, and human potential. The discovery of the Primo Vascular System, combined with cutting-edge research on EFT, could be the key to proving what ancient traditions have known all along: that we are deeply interconnected beings of energy and information.

Ready to Explore?

If this new research excites you, consider exploring EFT for yourself. Try a simple tapping exercise and pay attention to the sensations in your body. You may just be tapping into one of the most profound healing systems ever discovered—one that bridges the wisdom of the past with the cutting-edge science of the future.

A Chance Encounter, A Wave of Grief, and the Power of Tapping

Hospitals hold so many emotions—hope, fear, relief, grief—all woven into quiet moments between strangers.

Today, I was at the clinic for a routine appointment. In the lift, I shared a polite smile with another woman. I asked if she was visiting a clinic or a ward, and she told me she was visiting a family member. As I was about to step out of the lift, I wished them a smooth recovery.

And then her words fully landed.

Her family member was being put on a driver—a device that continuously administers medication, often used for pain relief at the end of life.
"I’m so sorry", I said as I felt a wave of compassion reach out from my heart to her and the person she loved.

I took a deep breath as I booked into the clinic then as I sat in the waiting room, memories came rushing in—my dad, my sister, my mum, my brother—all in their final stages of life. A sharp, raw grief rose up, hot tears stinging my eyes. A lump in my throat. I barely made it to the toilets before the sobs threatened to take over.

So I did what I knew to do—I tapped.

Gently moving through the face, body, and finger tapping points, I allowed myself to stay with the grief, rather than push it away. As I tapped, the images shifted. My loved ones’ faces became peaceful. The sadness softened… but then, anger took its place.

Anger at the driver.

It didn’t make sense. But I kept tapping anyway.

And as I did, I remembered.

Other family members had used a driver—not just at the end, but much earlier, to ease pain and help them keep living their lives. The anger faded. The resistance melted.

And with that, I felt calm again.

After my appointment, I stepped back into the lift.

And there she was. The same woman. Just the two of us again.

“I’ve been thinking about you and your family member,” I said gently.
She smiled. “I told my brother about our meeting. We were both touched.”
Now, she was on her way to get them both a drink. A simple, human act of care.
We smiled again as we parted ways.

That lift ride was no coincidence. It was a reminder of the deep and invisible threads that connect us to one another. A moment of recognition between two strangers, each carrying their own emotions through the sterile hallways of a hospital.

Grief can surprise us, rushing in at unexpected moments. But what I was reminded of today is that emotion is fluid—it shifts when we give it space, when we acknowledge it without resistance.

That’s what tapping does for me—it allows emotions to move through, so they don’t get stuck. Today was a reminder that healing isn’t about making feelings disappear. It’s about allowing them, honouring them, and letting them find their way through.
If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by emotion, know this: you are not alone. And you are not powerless.

✨ Have you ever had a moment where emotion caught you off guard? Feel free to share in the comments. I’d love to hear your thoughts.

For over 20 years, EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), or Tapping, has been my go-to therapy to support myself and others through emotional and physical challenges. For the past decade, my work has focused on helping people navigate the emotional journey of a cancer diagnosis or supporting loved ones through it.

When I started my EFT journey, people often told me it wasn’t a “proper therapy.” Some dismissed it outright, questioning how tapping on acupressure points could relieve emotional and physical pain. Yet, I saw undeniable results—daily! Clients experienced relief, empowerment, and transformation in ways that amazed me.

Determined to understand the why behind these results, I completed a Master of Science degree. This journey opened my eyes to the wealth of evidence supporting ancient healing concepts like balance, harmony, and flow, and I learned that:

✨ True scientists approach new ideas with an open, curious mind.

✨ Science often takes decades to embrace ground-breaking insights.

✨ EFT is now supported by cutting-edge research that bridges science and ancient wisdom.

We are now reaching the end of that 20-25 year transition period. The Science of EFT Research now shows EFT is much more than a psychological tool - it creates profound physical changes:

✔ Reduces Stress Hormones: EFT lowers cortisol, helping you feel calm and centred.
✔ Rebalances the Nervous System: It improves heart rate variability (HRV), enhancing resilience.
✔ Transforms Brain Activity: fMRI scans reveal EFT reduces fear (amygdala) and increases emotional regulation (prefrontal cortex).
✔ Even Impacts Gene Expression: Studies show EFT influences genes related to stress, inflammation, and immune function.

I performed a google search for 'what is proper therapy'  Google AI produced the following definition  " Proper therapy, also known as psychotherapy or talk therapy, is a collaborative process that can help people improve their mental health and relieve emotional distress."

EFT may not be psychotherapy or “talk therapy,” but it offers a gentle, collaborative way to heal. It helps people gently regulate their nervous system without necessarily having to relive painful memories - bringing both emotional and physical relief.

So, is EFT a “proper” therapy? Absolutely. It’s a transformative, evidence-based practice that empowers healing at every level - mind, body, and spirit.

We are Luminous Energy Beings

When a client recently told me of her delight and pleasure after attending the ABBA avatar show and commented on how amazing it was that what was essentially light could produce an appearance of solidity in those four projections my breath, my heart, my whole being paused for a moment. I was uplifted. I felt her words confirmed my belief about our reality. What she understood at the Abba Avatar performance reflected that we are essentially beings of light, luminous energy beings, who appear as solid.

The Dance of Light and Solidity

At the heart of our physical experience lies the interplay of light and matter. The world around us appears solid and tangible, yet modern physics has unveiled a much deeper truth. According to quantum theory, at the subatomic level, matter is comprised of tiny particles called quanta or photons – packets of energy that behave both as particles and waves that are, in effect, packets of potential. In the ABBA avatar show, light projections conjured the illusion of solid forms, blurring the lines between reality and artifice. Similarly, our physical forms emerge from the dance of particles, vibrating and interacting to create the illusion of solidity. We are ephemeral emanations of light temporarily manifesting in this physical realm.

The Essence of Light Beings

The comparison between the light projections and our existence as beings of light may seem far-fetched at first, but various spiritual and philosophical traditions have long hinted at this concept. In ancient cultures, light has often been associated with the divine and the source of all creation. Many spiritual teachings speak of an inner light, a divine spark within each individual that connects us to something greater.

Energy medicine traditions, which aim to restore and maintain balance in the body's energy systems, also emphasise the significance of light. These practices posit that disruptions in the body's energy flow can lead to physical and emotional ailments. By channelling and manipulating energy, healing practitioners seek to restore harmony and promote well-being.

How often, after participating in an energy medicine therapy such as EFT, acupuncture, Reiki, mindfulness meditation, kinesiology, sound or chakra healing, regardless of the physical or emotional experience, do we express or hear “I feel so much lighter”.

It's Who We Are

The notion of light beings offers us an opportunity to view ourselves and others with a sense of interconnectedness and compassion. By recognizing the intrinsic luminosity within ourselves and all living beings, we can foster a deeper appreciation for the beauty and interconnectedness of existence. Energy medicine techniques allow us to tap into this luminous aspect of our being, fostering balance, healing, and well-being. By embracing the notion of being light beings, we embark on a journey of self-discovery, connection, and appreciation for the wondrous tapestry of life.

So the next time you gaze at the world around you, perhaps remember the light within, and let it illuminate your path with joy and compassion.
